Just a quick post to say I’m now getting old
22 years old today and so far it’s not going well my laptop has just died on me! Looks like I’ll be looking for a new one soon…

I’ve now been hosted with JaguarPC for just over a year, what can I say? I should have moved here years ago! I currently have 2 VPS with them and I can’t say I remember ever having the slightest problem with them. No noticeable downtime (uptime monitored with mon.itor.us), no hardware issues, nothing.
When I did use their support tickets (because I had some questions about Plesk as it was the first time I use it) they replied quick! As in from what I saw in my support tickets each reply was within 10-30 minutes.
Also because I checked out their forum first I found the special deals they have regularly. I think when I signed up I managed to get double the RAM +5GB disk space and free plesk control panel, how cool is that?
So if you’re looking for a new host be it VPS, Dedicated or reseller hosting then be sure to check these guys out! They also have a nice twist on the “unlimited” shared plan so many hosts rip you off on by not actually offering unlimited anything (which would be impossible anyway). If you need lots of disk space then they offer endless disk space! How does that work? Every time you get to 80% of your allowed disk space just click a button to extend it!
Anyway it’s time I got back to work, just thought I’d share my experience over the past year. Hopefully you’ll be able to receive the great service I’ve had since being with them.
I’ve finally got round to fixing a few bugs which had been discovered in the seo pack, whilst nothing major upgrading is straightforward and therefore worth doing
You can download the update by logging into your client area.
List of updates:
- Now compatible with PHPmotion V2.1 (version for V2 still available)
- Bug fix: Video previewing redirected to video page, problem solved.
- Bug fix: Undefined variable in addon.php
- Bug fix: Problem with user name checking, also now checks against existing files so that there’s no problem with people registering as “videos” which would result in their profile page being yoursite.com/videos and causing a problem (unless you change the video path setting to something other the “videos”).
- Update in functions.php: new function to determine path requested.
- Removed template files which don’t require editing to make it easier to see what needs changing on custom templates.
Upgrading:
- Replace addon.php & functions.php in the seo-pack folder.
Don’t already have this addon?

I’ve been happily using Linux now for over a year and thought I’d post about my experiences so far and after the what happened to me (more on that in a bit) I’ll probably be creating a new category to store useful bits as I find them (for myself & hopefully it will be helpful to others). Beta testing for the latest & greatest PHPmotion has recently started, limited to a select few forum members & the moderators. Hopefully this means that the public release isn’t far away. So all of you who have been patiently waiting (and impatiently for some…), your wait is nearly over!
Personally I haven’t been able to look through v3 yet from lack of spare time. I did start installing it until I found out my cgi-bin wasn’t correctly configured and I had to get back to work, so it’ll have to wait a few days (hopefully not too long because I want to have a good look round). But I did get a quick look through the admin and it’s a huge improvement as you could probably tell from the screenshots on the forum.
Anyway, once I’m finished installing it I’ll be able to let you know what I think & don’t worry I’ve already come up with a few ideas for addons which will help make your site even cooler (but I’m not saying what just yet
)!
I’ve just noticed how long it’s been since my last post. God I’m rubbish at keeping a blog up to date…
Anyway I’ve been really busy with clients hence the lack of posts, hopefully I’ll be working more or less for one client (also a good friend now
) so I’ll be on more normal work hours and will have spare time to do other things apart from working like blogging & going out.
Hopefully one day phpmotion v3 will be released and I’ll be able to get working on some interesting themes & plugins for it. It was announced in the official thread that it would be in less then a month, fingers crossed everyone will soon be able to test out this new release.
That’s all for now folks!
