Now that version 3 of phpmotion is released, I thought I’d let you in on something I started planning during the BETA.
It can’t really be called an addon or a theme, it is so much more 
we’ll just call it the “pack” until I can come up with a cool name for it.
What will this pack do? Pretty much everything my previous addons have done and more!
Wait, …what?
Yes that’s right, this pack won’t just give you improved seo like the seo pack for V2, it will also give you phpBB integration! But that’s not all, you’ll also have a new look as it will be based on 100% hand-written valid xhtml & css (written by yours truely).
Hmmm, is that all?
No! If you think the seo pack helped you before, wait until you see this! All the templates will be optimized with top notch search engine techniques and because it’s all neat lightweight code load times should be pretty fast There are also some other features so cool that I dare not mention them until I get further with the development as they will probably be pinched off me :p
Can I help?
As this pack is still in it’s very first baby steps, there’s still a lot of choices to be made. Here’s some things you can help me with (or at least give me your opinion):
- Design elements: Seen something neat on another website? Would like something similar available for PHPmotion? Comment & I’ll take a look to see if it can be included!
- Color schemes: I’m planning on making the theme easily editable but it’s always better when there’s a pre-made choice of colors, right? What would you like? Pink & Black? Yellow & Red maybe?
- Remind me! This is surely the easiest! I’m currently doing a thousand things at the moment. If you don’t see updates every now and then, leave a comment so I know there are still people out there interested!
I’m currently working on a mock-up which I’ll post once I’m happy with it so what do you think? Sound interesting? Have you used v3 yet?

I can’t really say when this will be complete. Hopefully as soon as possible as it will probably be quite helpful for those running v3. I’m afraid I don’t think the upgrade will be free as the pack is such a huge project it’s not based off of any existing addons. I will however offer a reduction for those having recently purchased addons

Hey, I love the idea. I am kind of stuck in the middle right now. What I am going for I need to have the image hosting part of v3, but at the same time I also need the forum bridge which is not yet available for v3 only v2 which does not support image hosting.
Is there anyway you can hook me up with just the integration part for v3? Maybe even a template for it that matches v3 white? If not its cool. It would be great to atleast get the integration part of the mod. This is something I have to get rather quickly before I have to hire another professional coder to do the integration for me. I would much rather pay you though if you can hook me up? If need be I will pay full price for the package and I can get the rest of the package later? Use phpBB3′s powerful private messaging system replacing PHPmotion’s one.
does that mean users on my site still can message each other with email me option? or is it goin to be something else?

What I meant was instead of using the private messaging from PHPmotion it uses phpBB’s one. So yes they still have the option to message each other, but they’ll also be able to use smileys, etc.. like in the phpBB forum posts.
